The short answer
The NewAge Bold 9-piece is the system to buy if you have eleven feet of wall: it publishes a capacity for every component — 800 lb lockers, 600 lb bases, 100 lb wall cabinets — arrives fully welded rather than flat-packed, and includes a 72-inch bamboo worktop. If capacity per dollar matters more than coordination, buy wall shelving and one locking cabinet instead and spend a third as much.
The honest alternative to NewAge: per-drawer and per-shelf ratings published, boltable into one rigid run, with a pressed-board worktop rather than bamboo.

What you are actually buying
A garage storage system is not storage capacity. It is coordination: one finish, one delivery, components sized to sit together, and a worktop that fits the run. Those are real things worth paying for, and they are not the same as holding more stuff.
Worth being blunt about the arithmetic. A NewAge Bold 7-piece set covers nine feet of wall. Two pairs of FLEXIMOUNTS wall shelves plus a 72-inch locking cabinet plus an overhead rack will hold considerably more, cost a fraction, and look like a collection of things rather than a system.
If that trade-off sounds obviously right to you, this is not your page — go to how to organize a garage instead. If a coordinated wall is what you want, read on.
The spec that separates the field
Per-component capacity. NewAge publishes it for every box type in every set. Torin publishes 75 lb per rolling-cabinet drawer and 150 lb per tall-cabinet shelf. VIYET publishes nothing at all — no per-shelf figure, no total, and no dimensions either.

Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen.
VIYET gives you ten pieces for roughly the price of NewAge's seven, with double-wall doors and US-based support. It is not a bad product. But with no dimensions published you cannot plan a wall around it, and with no load figures you cannot plan what goes where — and both of those are things you need to know before a 10-piece set arrives.
Welded versus flat-packed
This is the construction difference that matters most and is easiest to overlook on a listing page.
A fully welded cabinet arrives as a rigid box. Its squareness is a factory property, and it stays square when you load it. NewAge and Torin both publish fully welded construction, and it is why they weigh what they weigh: NewAge's 7-piece is 382 lb, the 9-piece 461 lb, the 12-piece 565 lb.
A flat-packed cabinet is as rigid as your assembly. Done carefully with everything square and every bolt tight, it is fine. Done on a Saturday afternoon with one bolt cross-threaded, it racks, and then the doors never line up again. VIYET's set is flat-packed with pre-drilled holes, which is the honest trade for more pieces at the price.
Bolt the run together
One feature worth hunting for: Torin's cabinets have side holes to bolt adjacent units together, and a rear slot to attach the whole run to the wall. That converts eight separate boxes into one rigid wall and is also the correct anti-tip answer for tall cabinets.
Separate, unanchored cabinets are the configuration that goes over when somebody pulls hard on a top shelf. If your chosen system does not offer bolt-together holes, anchor each unit independently with angle brackets into studs. It takes twenty minutes and it is the difference between furniture and a hazard.
Worktops: the hidden variable
Most of these sets include a worktop, and the worktop is the component that varies most.
NewAge 7-piece — one 48 in. bamboo worktop.
NewAge 9-piece — one 72 in. bamboo worktop. Six feet of continuous bench, which is the real upgrade over the 7-piece.
NewAge 12-piece — TWO 48 in. worktops. That is two work zones rather than one long counter, which may be better or worse depending on your layout — but it means a seam in the middle if you wanted one bench.
Torin 9-piece — a 1 in. pressed wooden board. Thicker than many included tops and not solid wood; it will swell if it gets wet.
If the worktop is going to be your actual bench, check what it is made of, and consider whether a cheaper system plus a proper maple or rubberwood top is the better buy.
Which to buy
Eleven feet of wall and you want one order — NewAge Bold 9PC. The 72 in. worktop and the extra base cabinet make it better value per foot than the 7-piece.
Nine feet of wall — NewAge Bold 7PC. Same construction and same published ratings, shorter run.
Two walls, or thirteen feet — NewAge Bold 3.0 12PC. Two worktops is a layout advantage if you want two zones.
Per-drawer ratings and a boltable run — Torin 9PC. Publishes drawer and shelf figures NewAge does not, with a pressed-board top rather than bamboo.
Most pieces for the money, documentation be damned — VIYET 10PC. Ten pieces, double-wall doors, no published specs.

Questions people actually ask
Are garage cabinet systems worth the money?+
If you want one coordinated finish, one delivery and a set of cabinets that actually fit together, yes. If what you need is capacity per dollar, no — wall shelving and an overhead rack give you far more storage for a fraction of the cost. Cabinets are for the things that must be locked or kept clean.
How much wall does a system need?+
More than people plan for. NewAge's 7-piece is 108 in. (nine feet), the 9-piece is 132 in. (eleven feet), and the 12-piece is 156 in. (thirteen feet). Torin's 9-piece is 130 in. Measure the wall INCLUDING the door swing and any light switch or outlet you need to keep accessible.
What does 'fully welded' actually mean?+
That the cabinet boxes are assembled and welded at the factory rather than flat-packed for you to bolt together. A welded box is rigid out of the crate; a bolted one is only as rigid as your assembly. NewAge and Torin both publish fully welded construction, which is a genuine quality difference and also why they weigh 380-565 lb.
Why are the wall cabinets rated so much lower than the bases?+
Because they are hanging off your wall rather than standing on your floor. NewAge publishes 100 lb per wall cabinet against 600 lb per base cabinet — a 6x difference. That is the honest physics of wall mounting, and it means wall cabinets are for light bulky items, not for paint and batteries.
Can I buy a system in stages?+
With NewAge and Gladiator, yes — both sell individual components that match. With the all-in-one import sets, no: you buy the set or you do not. If budget means staging the purchase, start with individual Gladiator or NewAge pieces rather than a cheaper complete set you cannot extend.
